Medieval buckle (late 14th to early 16th century): A cast copper alloy annular buckle which is sub-rectangular in section and varies in width. In plan, the buckle frame is sub-circular in plan. The frame is undecorated and has fine file marks. There is a pin curled around the frame which is narrowed along its length by being curled slightly. The surface of the frame is in fair condition and has a dark green patina. The buckle frame measures 21.53mm long, 20.21mm wide, 5mm thick. It weighs 2.42g. Medieval (mid 14th to early 15th century) buckle: The copper alloy buckle has a D-shaped frame with an integral spacer. The frame, on the outer edge at the apex, has a small triangular integral protrusion with a notch for the pin. The upper surface of the frame is obliquely angled, whereas the reverse is flat. Integral to the strap bar is a forked spacer. Covering the forked spacer there are two sub-rectangular plates. An incomplete copper-alloy one-piece brooch of probable 'Nauheim derivative' La Tene III type of the Late Iron Age or early Roman period, dating from c. AD 25 - 100. The brooch bow is an elongated lozenge which is slightly twisted and bent. The bow is decorated with two horizontal grooves within a lozenge border. Roman (mid 1st to 2nd century) brooch: The lower portion of the bow remains. The bow is broken at the upper edge which is at the approximate midpoint of the bow. The break is not a recent. The bow tapers to a slightly expanded foot. On the reverse of this portion of the bow there is a complete catchplate. The surface of the brooch has an abraded patina. The brooch measures 21.13mm in length, 3.79mm in width across the upper edge and weighs 1.35g. The brooch is a Colchester derivative. It probably dates to the mid-1st to second centuries.

Roman (AD c. 69-96) Initial T-shaped brooch (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, The Hinged Pin Plate 64); The copper-alloy brooch has a cylindrical crossbar which has a central slot on the reverse to allow the pin to be hinged.
