Medieval copper alloy single loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1300 - 1400. The narrowed and offset strap bar has a small knop at either end. A copper alloy fragment from the end of a handle of a cooking vessel possibly a posnet or skillet of a later medieval or early post-medieval date, AD 1300-1600. The handle has a D-shaped cross section with a flat upper surface. The flat surface of the handle has the design of a long cross pattee engraved onto the surface, the arm running parallel to the handle is longer than the other. A Medieval copper alloy single looped buckle dating to c AD 1250-1350. It is missing its pin. The outer edge is expanded and slightly bulbous, with a slight notch to hold the pin and flanked by ridges. The bar is offset and narrowed. The frame is internally bevelled on the reverse, with the expanded section concave. It is 28.26mm in ength, 16.94mm from front of hoop to strap bar. It weighs 4g. cf. An incomplete medieval cast copper alloy annular buckle, missing part of its pin. It dates to c AD 1250 - 1450. The frame is sub-circular in plan and cross section, with a notch to form a pin rest and a very slightly offset bar to hold the pin. This is incomplete, flat in cross section and with two knops flanking the juncture between the shank of the pin and the section wrapped around the frame. Medieval buckle (late 14th to early 16th century): A cast copper alloy annular buckle which is sub-rectangular in section and varies in width. In plan, the buckle frame is sub-circular in plan. The frame is undecorated and has fine file marks. There is a pin curled around the frame which is narrowed along its length by being curled slightly. The surface of the frame is in fair condition and has a dark green patina. The buckle frame measures 21.53mm long, 20.21mm wide, 5mm thick. It weighs 2.42g. Worn and corroded, almost all of the gilding has been lost and the decoration is faint. The broad outside edge and sides are engraved with broad running double-strand interlace. Medieval - post medieval copper alloy unidentified object, possibly a hooked tag or book fitting. Sheet metal cut into an oval shape with a triangular projection on one side, the tip bent downwards to form a small hook. The front of the plate exhibits a trefoil design, each line composed of two rows of punched rectangles. Towards the rear edge of the plate, and within the central fleur, is a circualr rivet hole retaining the remains of a copper alloy rivet. Simialr examples recordedon the PAS database include: SOM-482D35, SUR-1B5329, NMS-BED3F0 & NMS-EFF578.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle plate of medieval date, c.AD 1200 - 1400. The sheet plate is folded in two with a central slot for the pin at the folded end. Four rivets are present; one in each corner, as well as a fifth off centre rivet. A sixth rivet is also present at the centre of the attachment end. Both plates are undecorated. The folded end is damaged with parts of the fold lost to worn breaks. The rivets hold the plates together. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The plate is 38.5mm long, 25.9mm wide, 6.3mm thick and weighs 8.5g.
