A complete but slightly damaged post-Medieval silver cufflink or cuff-button (c. 1725-c. 1800).
Each element is circular in plan, domed at the front and concave at the rear. The front of each element has a similar raised design. The design is a six-pointed star with a pellet at the centre. Between each arm of the star there is a foliate-like motif. Each element has a soldered silver wire attachment loop at the rear. An elongated oval silver joining loop has a sub-rectangular indentation which may be a maker's mark.

This object has a blade and tang. The blade is triangular in plan and pointed-oval in cross-section. The incomplete tang is roughly square in cross-section. There is a swelling between the blade and tang.
The object is corroded but the edges of the blade are sharp. The tip of the blade is missing.
