A Copper alloy closed-mouthed bell of probable Post-Medieval date, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1700. The bell survives complete, retaining an iron pea in situ. The bell is sub-piriform in plan and lenticular in cross section, a sub-rectangular lug projects from the apex of the bell, with a rounded end and large sub-circular drilled aperture. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative, double pierced lug, Harlow type brooch dating to the 1st century AD. The remaining part of the brooch consists of a complete bow and catchplate and the wings which are hollow, and C-shaped in section. The spring and pin are missing. A post-medieval copper alloy buckle frame of sub-oval/ sub-trapezoidal shape, with separate drilled iron spindle the the remains of a copper alloy chape. Whitehead dates similar examples (pp.98-9) to 1660-1720. The short outside edges are curved, being concave to the underside.
