A complete Medieval to post-Medieval lead alloy standing weight (c. 1200-c. 1600). This weight is sub-square in cross-section and tapers from the base towards the suspension loop at the top. The base is rounded and the top is narrowed and pierced with a circular hole, 3.0mm in diameter. The two faces on the same plane as the hole have indentations. The weight is greyish buff. Height: 37.0mm; width: 15.4mm; thickness: 13.6mm. Weight: 39.28g. Biggs and Withers (2000) suggest that this type of weight first appeared around c. 1200. An incomplete cast and wrought lead alloy badge of uncertain - most probably post medieval (1600-1800) date. The badge is irregular in form (being created from two square shapes aligned at 45 degree to form a star) and rectangular in cross section. It has an irregular edge and surface. It has two circular cross sectioned projections at one narrower end and below this is decorated with several poorly placed raised radiating lines. The object is probably a tally/token of soem form, but is poorly executed.

The button is domed to the front and concave to the reverse, with a prominent casting flash from the centre of which extends the incomplete stem. All breaks are old. Cast lead or lead alloy pan weight of probable late Medieval or Post Medieval date (1250 - 1700). The weight is sub-circular in plan and S shaped in cross section. The weight is undecorated. It is a mid white buff colour with a relatively even and corroded patina that covers all surfaces. A light active powdery corrosion product is present on all surfaces. A direct parallel for this weight has not been found. It is most likely to date from the later medieval or post medieval periods. The weight measures 46.7mm in diameter and is 10.9mm high. It weighs 141.8 grams or 5 ozs.

Early medieval to medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, Length: 23 mm, width: 19 mm, weight: 17.06 g. The whorl is mis cast, having been squashed whilst still molten? giving it a sub circular form and it has a sub rectangular cross section, having curved sides. It is undecorated and has a central hole which would have been circular and had an internal diameter of 10mm. The form matches Walton Rogers form A2, which she dates to 700-1100AD.
