An incomplete Roman copper alloy finger ring or (less likely) bracelet in the form of a snake. The item is shallowly plano-convex and terminates with a worn, snake head as seen from above. The features are worn, but the overall appearance is clearly Roman in style and finds many parallels in the literature. The shank tapers to the break; it is now bent over. The lack of curve to the head might suggest that this is from a bracelet, though the shank seems too slender for this purpose.
