A small fragment of a Roman copper-alloy and enamelled plate brooch (c. AD 100-c. AD 300).
The surviving part of this brooch is flat and it may have been circular or oval in plan when complete. At the front there is an incomplete curving empty cell. At either side of the cell there is a fleck of blue enamel. The rear face has a pair of parallel pierced 'D'-shaped lugs (double-lugged) to accommodate an axis bar for the spring and pin mechanism. Each lug is incomplete.

A complete and corroded post-Medieval copper-alloy rose farthing of Charles I (1625-1649). Type 2. Initial marks: crescent/crescent, 1636-1644 (North 1991: 165, ref: 2291).
Obverse: CAROLV D.G MA.BRI.; Single arched crown with sceptres in saltire through it.
Reverse: FRA ET HI REX; Single rose surmounted by a single arched crown.
Diameter: 13.5mm. Weight: 0.71g. DA=12:12.
