An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy dress hook (c. 1500-c. 1650). Read, Class E, Type 3.
The trapezoidal attachment loop is largely missing and the rearward curving part of the hook is also missing.
The main body is sub-circular in plan, moulded at the front, flat and plain at the rear.
At the front the body has a voided cross with a central quatrefoil. Each angle would have been pierced. However, only one piercing has penetrated completely. The base of the body extends into the hook. The shaft of the hook is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Harlowe, double-lugged type dating to the Roman period, c. 43-100 AD. The foot, catchplate and spring mechanism are missing in old damage, otherwise the object is preserved intact. It demonstrates a semi-spherically sectioned winged head, at the midpoint of which on its rear face is a broken double-lug through which the spring and axis bar would have been threaded. An incomplete post medieval cast copper-alloy hooked tag type clothing fastener circa 16th/17th centuries. Missing part of the body and securing loop. The body would have been sub oval in plan with a moulded V shape decoration in the centre of the body and apertures / openwork surrounding. The hook rod is slightly bent and missing its tip. The reverse is plain and flat.

Copper alloy, ?lead and iron knife fragment. Cast moulded handle of sub-cylindrical form with an aperture at its wider end of diameter 8mm which may be sealed or loaded with lead on which a spot of iron corrosion appears. A pair of finely incised lines run around this butt. A doubled moulding appears a little above the midpoint of the handle, with another pair of lines defining a circumferential rib at its narrow end. Rust has stained this part, and a bright weeping surface in its end suggests the continuing active corrosion of an iron tang which appears to have passed all the way alon…
