A sub-connical flint core, of probable Neolithic date, c. 4,000-2,400BC. Of a mottled dark grey-brown flint with pale inclusions. Sub-Hexagonal in cross-section and tapering to a point, with neat, blade-like removals from around the perimeter of the core and with abrasion around the edge of the striking platform suggesting platform preparation.
Dimensions: length 31.4mm; width 27.6mm; thickness 18.8mm; weight 16.33g.

Copper alloy spur fragment. Cast heel from a rowel spur, comprising lentoid section sides or arms, facetted in three planes on the display face, and the tapered base of a rowel box with eight longitudinal facets. One of these, the largest flat facet and presumably the uppermost, bears finely incised vegetal ornament resembling a lis with supplementary petals. A grey tint presumably arises from tin in the metal mix. Broken across the rowel box and both arms. Suggested date: 1550-1650.

An incomplete copper alloy Post Medieval double loop buckle dating from c. 1500-1650. The loops are D shaped, the edges are bevelled. The narrowed pin bar is triangular and extends beyond the loops on each side ending in a knop. The buckle has a mid green patina. The buckle measures 38.5mm in length, 34.3mm wideand 3mm thick. It weighs 8.3 grams.
The buckle is similar to one in Whitehead, 1996, p54, no.303.

A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman brooch of the Colchester derivative Type, dating to c. AD 43-70. It is the foot of the brooch. The bow is sub-rectangular in plan tapering towards both ends; its front face has a longitudinal median ridge flanked by concave sides. The surface of the central ridge is decorated with a zig-zag motif running widthewise. On the back face of the bow there is a catch-plate, which is triangular in profile and it bears traces of the forward-curled edge to catch the pin.

The surviving spring case has a semi-circular cross-section and is open on its back face. The double lug survives but is incomplete; the spring mechanism is missing. The surviving upper bow has a curved profile and a D-shaped cross-section. It tapers towards the break; its front face is decorated with a longitudinal median groove flanked by concave sides. The surfaces are abraded .

The head has a semi-circular cross-section and it is open on its back face. The double lug is visible but it is damaged. The axis bar with half of the spring coils and the upper part of the pin are surviving loose, because the broken lower lug does not hold the axis in position. A halfgroat of Edward III (1327-1377), series E, based on the initial mark, minted in London between 1353-1355/6. The coin has an uneven surface tone, with some areas appearing to have had tarnishing prevented or removed.
Obverse:- Crowned bust of Edward III facing forwards, legend around '[+]EDWARDV[S REX ANGL Z FRANCI]'
Reverse:- A long cross with three pellets in each crutch, dissecting twon concentric legends into quarters. Legends 'CIVI/TAS/LON/DON' in the outer ring and +POS/VI DEV/ADIVT/O[R MEV]' in the inner.
