The brooch frame is decorated with two diametrically opposite raised cylindrical cells or 'turrets', these would have possibly held decorative glass or enamel. The frame is circular in plan and has a D-shaped cross section, it has a narrowed bar for attachment of the pin, directly opposite this is a raised pin rest. The pin is no longer present. Fragment of Roman snake bracelet, flattened and bent, both ends broken, one where slightly expanded and decorated with the remains of transverse lines, the rest of the probable head is decorated with a tapering elongated panel defined by two longitudinal grooves and containing the remains of probable short oblique lines, flanked by multiple oblique lines in an overall chevron pattern.
