A post medieval silver penny of Henry VIII, dating to the period AD 1509-1526. Obverse depicting the enthroned king, holding an orb and sceptre. Reverse depicting the royal shield over a long cross which divides the legend, T D above shield. Mint of Durham. Lis initial mark. North vol.II p.110 no.1776.
There is a 1.6mm wide piercing at 3 o'clock.
