An incomplete medieval silver penny, probably, of Edward III (r,1327-77) from the Durham mint. With just over half of the coin remaining the obverse has an extremely faint facing crowned bust with the partial legend NGL (at approx 10 o'clock) The reverse has a long cross, one arm of which has a crozier end, with three pellets in each quarter.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy purse bar (c. 1450-c. 1550).
Description: The purse bar is incomplete, with the arms terminating in breaks. The central block is rounded and has a vertical hole to accommodate the shank of the suspension loop. This hole enables the suspension loop of the purse to rotate. The loop is oval in plan and is convex on the inner and outer faces. The loop has been bent away from the frame slightly. An incomplete, worn and warped cast copper-alloy Colchester one piece bow brooch of late Iron Age or Early Roman date likely c.15 BC - AD63.
Description: The pair of short roughly rectangular wings flanking a central loop for a copper-alloy spring and iron axis bar remain only as worn stubs, with a further forward-pointing loop immediately above the head. A very narrow near ovoid section bow tapers towards very thin, long and plain foot.
