An incomplete cast copper alloy La Tene I type brooch dating to the Iron Age. The item consists of the bow of the brooch but the pin, spring mechanism and most of the curled foot are missing, although the stub of the catchplate is extant. The bow is a pointed oval in form, flat in section. A low wide ridge echoes the shape of the bow, creating a margin, within which is another, concentric, thinner ridge, and in the centre is a single longitudinal ridge. It is very simiar to the example in Hattatt 2007 p288 fig 147 no 1447A. It is 34.29mm in length, 7.53mm in width and weighs 1.31g.
