An incomplete cast copper alloy knobbed terret ring of Late Iron Age/Early Roman dating (AD 43 -200). The terret ring when complete would have presumably formed an oval shape in plan. The ring is thicker at the base and narrower at the broken terminals. There is a short narrowed bar section at the base of the terret ring with an inverted triangular shaped broken projection. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman bow brooch, probably dating to the 1st or 2nd century AD. This brooch fragment might possibly be the remains of a T-shaped, Bow and Fantail, or Trumpet derivative brooch however not enough survives to allow precise/certain identification. The fragment weighs 2.47g and unusually the pin shaft survives to a greater length than the bow. A hexagonal head-loop is present above the wings.
