Cast copper alloy, shield-shaped, heraldic harness pendant of probable 14th-century date (c.1250 - 1450).
The pendant is mostly complete apart from the suspension loop which is partially missing. An integral cast suspension loop located at the centre of the upper edge of the pendant is partially intact with traces of gilding. The loop is set at an angle of 90 degrees to the plane of the pendant. The pierced loop is incomplete. The front face of the pendant has a red field of enamel with a cross patoncĂ© at the centre.There are traces of gilding which suggests the cross was origin…

A medieval copper alloy suspension mount for a harness pendant dating 13th -14th century. The mount has a slightly domed circular face with two suspension loops projecting from the lower surface and a stud, slightly off centre, on the reverse. The suspension loops appear to have been cast as an integral part of the object, and would have had an axis pin from which the harness pendant suspends.There are possible traces of the axis pin in one of the loops.

This mount has a slightly concaved rectangular face with two suspension loops projecting from the lower surface and two studs on the reverse. The suspension loops appear to have been cast as an integral part of the object, and would have had an axis pin from which the harness pendant suspends.
