Copper-alloy sestertius of Trajan (AD 98-117), probably dating to the period AD 104-111 (Reece period 5) Obverse has Laureate bust right with drapery on left shoulder with the legend IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS (V P P). Reverse has Roma helmeted and in military dress seated left on cuirass, holding Victory and vertical spear, helmet under right foot, head in helmet under left, by cuirass one round and two oblong shields.Legend reads S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI, S C.Mint of Rome.
