Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A post-medieval copper alloy possible hook. The object is lozenge shaped, with a twisted and tapering shank (33 mm long) projecting at right angles from the end of one of the edges. The shank is bent 180 degrees up the centre of the lozenge-shaped plate. The surface is corroded and no trace of decoration can be seen. There is a square perforation off centre, probably a nail hole. It has been suggested that this is a home-made hook of post-medieval date.
Width 22 mm, length 21.5 mm, thickness1.7 mm. Weight 4.7 g
