A complete flint Handaxe/knife of Upper Palaeolithic to Neolithic date (150,000-3450 BC). The lithic is sub-triangular plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface has long scaled flaking and retains cortex along the proximal left hand edge. There is evidence of hinged flake removal along the mesal section. The distal, right and left hand edges have rough semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface has covering scaled flaking with a minor amount of retained cortex along the proximal right hand edge.
