A fragment of a Brooch of Roman date (AD 43-410). The retained portion is the lower bow and catchplate. The bow is D shaped in section and slightly tapering rectangular in plan. The bow has two circumferential transverse incised lines above the foot. The catchplate is sub-triangular and recurved. The metal is a mid-green in colour with a slightly pitted patina. Length: 32.24mm, Width: 4.04mm, Thickness (bow): 3.65mm, Weight: 4.4g.

Incomplete copper alloy umbonate plate brooch of Mackreth's (2011) Chapter 7 Type 6.d. The boss exhibits two concentric rings of triangular cells, some of whcih retain traces of blue enamel. This is then bordered by a concentric groove flanked on either side by a prominent ridge. The bordering flange is heavily damaged, but retains traces of three projecting rounded lobes, each of which bears a stamped dot and circle. Roman (AD c. 350-450) an incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle with a zoomorphic frame. The frame is almost complete. It is a sub D-shape with a slightly narrowed strap bar. The loop opposite has a moulded notch with fine ring-and-dot motif either side. The exterior edge of the corners has a flat projection with abraded edges which would have been a horse. An incomplete copper-alloy object, possibly part of a tankard handle dating to the Roman period. The object comprises a plate which is tongue-shaped in plan and slightly convex in section. Two openwork extensions originally extended from each of the long sides of the plate, of which only a small portion of one remains. The upper surface of the plate is decorated with two marginal ribs, each flanked by two grooves. There are corrosion products and possible lead solder adhering to the underside of the plate. The object measures 45mm in length, 34mm in width and 2mm in thickness.

Roman copper alloy zoomorphic spindle from a pair of dividers in the form of a bird perched on the top of a shaft. The pointed oval head has a blind hole drilled on either side of the head The wings are splayed out from the body and slightly recessed. The body tapers into the tail. The feathers on wings and tail are both indicated by a series of fine engraved lines. The integrally cast cylindrical shank exhibits a vertical perforation 5mm long. The tip exhibits a circumferential grooved collar. A similar example with a bovine-headed terminal was found in Suffolk in 2004 (SF-A3C1A5).

The mend is of a lozenge shaped sheet of copper alloy folded in on itself, to create a sub-rectangular plate which would have had two sub-triangular prongs projecting from the reverse; both prongs are lost to a patinated break. A complete copper-alloy Mount of Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1700). The object is an openwork figurative strap fitting or mount and is flat in section, circular in plan. The mount takes the form of a crescent moon with a face in profile, and a six point star protruding from the lower portion. There is an integral semi-circular suspension loop.
