FELICITATI AVG COS III P P S C reverse type depicting galley travelling right with oarsmen and steersman, standard on prow. Minted in Rome. RIC II, p. 431, no. 703e. A post-medieval cast iron cannon ball, dating to the period AD c. 1600-1800. The ball is spherical, well cast with no obvious waist, casting or set-up marks. However, the surface is corroded and pitted which may obscure some marking. The diameter is 60.03 mm, suggesting use with a falcon or falconett, artillery pieces in common use during the civil war period. Weight 800.2 g

A fragment of a lead alloy plaque or tablet probably of medieval to post medieval date. The fragment is roughly rectangular, the edges are irregular from apparently old breaks. The object is slightly convex, probably from deformation rather than original form. One face has lettering, stamped or incised and infilled with a dark pigment. There appears to be two lines of lettering, both are truncated by the breaks. The lower row has three letters, the center seems to be a capital A in a Latin font.
