A fragment of a copper-alloy zoomorphic Strap End of Early Medieval date (AD 750-1066). The object is the terminating end of a tongue-shaped strap end. The retained portion tapers to form a rounded terminal in the form of a moulded animal head. There is a sub-rectangular cell at the upper end of the fragment. The lower portion has an incised decoration composed of two transverse lines, between which are two rows of two crescents.
