Post-medieval copper-alloy symmetrical double-loop buckle frame dating to the period c. AD 1550-1700. The frame is plain and rectangular. It is bevelled externally and internally on the front, though far more shallowly externally. The rear surface is flat. The pin bar is trapezoidal in cross-section and has a similar width and thickness to the sides of the frame (2.0 x 1.4mm). The pin is missing. A fragment of a Medieval copper-alloy French/Low Countries jetton of the Duchy of Burgundy dating from AD 1300-1384. The obverse depicts a quartered square topped shield quarterly of France-Burgundy, reverse a probable triple stranded cross fleuretty within a four-arched tressure with a rosette in each angle. cf. Medieval cast copper alloy horse harness pendant with enamelled heraldic decoration. The pendant is in the shape of a square topped shield with a transverse suspension lug projecting from the centre of the top of the shield. The loop is has a sub-circular hole through it, possibly worn. The shield appears to be decorated with: gules three lions passant guardant or with a label of three points azure. A Post-Medieval copper alloy pot mend, consisting of a staple rivet, probably dating to c. AD 1475-1600. The mend is of a lozenge shaped sheet of copper alloy folded in on itself, to create a sub-rectangular plate which would have had two sub-triangular prongs projecting from the reverse; both prongs are lost to a patinated break. Dimensions: length 38.3mm, width 20.8mm tapering to 15.4mm, thickness 1.8mm, 3.6mm along the site of the prong breaks; weight: 5.52g.
