Roman (AD c. 350-450) an incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle with a zoomorphic frame. The frame is almost complete. It is a sub D-shape with a slightly narrowed strap bar. The loop opposite has a moulded notch with fine ring-and-dot motif either side. The exterior edge of the corners has a flat projection with abraded edges which would have been a horse. The other corner is broken, but not recently. The reverse is undecorated. The pin is moulded and curled around the frame. The terminal of the pin is slightly swollen and tapers to a blunt point.
