The pendant comprises a circular sheet of gold, its upper surface decorated with a cruciform motif formed of punched S-motifs arranged to form a rope-like pattern. Fragment of an early medieval gold mount, roughly triangular in form with corners bent over onto the reverse. The mount comprises a sheet of gold edged with a strand of gold beaded wire and decorated on one face with an interlacing design in gold filigree. The motif itself is difficult to decipher, but is made up of a thick strand of beaded wire flanked by thinner strands. The reverse is undecorated. The sheet backing plate is crumpled with holes in places.

An Iron Age gold stater, Westerham South type of the Regini or Atrebates dating to 60-50 BC. This is an ABC 482, BMC 24-32. Rudd (2010:47) writes "More Westerham South gold staters [ABC 482] are found around West Sussex and the Solent than North Hampshire, indicating that they were probably produced by the Regini, not the Atrebates." Obverse: Wreath design with crescents and cloak. Reverse: A disjointed horse left, stick legs and many pellets above. Dimensions: diameter: 18.60mm; weight: 6.27g.
