An Early Medieval silver Primary Phase sceatta of Series F (variety b; BMC type 24b) dating c. AD 680-700. Obverse: crude (helmeted?) bust right, with pelleted headdress, regular pseudo-legend around. Reverse: cross on steps, single annulet at end of each limb, pseudo-legend around. Abramsson p. 71, nos. F100 and F120. Metcalfe variety a(1). This coin has been recorded on the EMC as 2018.0410

Obverse depicting diademed head right in serpent circle; reverse type has a serpent circle (starting at 7 'o clock) enclosing a bird facing right on latin cross with an annulet at the end of both short arms of the cross; a greek cross in the left field before the bird. Probably East Anglia mint. The coin has a pale gold appearence. It has been probably clipped; the edges are flattened and there are no traces of the legends. Cf. Abramson ( 1994, p. 66, no.
