A post-medieval copper-alloy farthing trade token of the town of Froome in the County of Somerset, dating to 1670. The token is bent. Williamson (1967, 979) notes two varieties of this token, based on the spelling of Froome - FROOMB and FROOME. The last letter is a little unclear on this example but its more angular nature suggests it is probably an E. Reference: Williamson, Somerset 127*

A flint scraper probably from the Paleolithic dating to c 450,000-420,000 BC. The flint has original cortex on the outer side and fresh cortex has developed on the inner surface. There are also small areas where the cortex may have been removed at a later date. There are also pits on the outer dorsal surface which may have been removed, although this may be the result of natural taphonomic processes. The inner ventral surface has evidence of a bulb of percussion with concoidal rings. There appears to be evidence of a flattened area and light retouch around the dorsal edge of the scrap…

An incomplete medieval soldino of Doge Michael (Michele) Steno (1400-1413), mint of Venice. The flan is jagged and broken between 4 and 7 o'clock. The silver soldino of Venice was known as the galyhalpens (galley-halfpence) as it was brought by the annual Venetian trading fleets. The soldino was about the size of English halfpennies and was popular because of a contemporary lack of small change; soldini in fact occur as English finds more often than proper halfpennies of the period.
