An incomplete copper alloy and enamel plate brooch, a chatelaine, dating to the Roman period c AD100-200. The brooch is sub triangular in form. The plate has a straight base with two curved sides which meet at a knop at the apex. Extending from the two sides of the brooch are three further, smaller knops, originally two on each side but one has broken away at an early date. At either end of the base is a foot like knop which originally would have held a bar on which small implements, tweezers, toothpick, etc, would have hung. A fragment of a fired clay strainer or colander or similar, probably dating to the medieval period (c AD1200 - 1500) but could be earlier. There are broken edges on all sides but this fragment may come from near the rim or base of the vessel, being thicker in one part than the other. There are two holes piercing the fragment near the thick edge, formed by passing a rod or stick through plastic clay. An unidentified cast lead or lead alloy object, probably of post medieval date. It is a fragment of probably a vessel of some kind, perhaps a section of the body of a small cup, it being in the form of the curved 'belly' of something. There are broken edges all around. In raised relief on the fragment is part of a classical type coat of arms or similar, being a raised oval central boss with scroll pattern and fleur de lys arranged around it. The fragment is 25.84mm in height, 36.45mm in width and weighs 15.43 g. It is 5.56mm thick at its greatest.

A complete Cast lead alloy circular unifaced token. The token has a raised design of the capital letters I I with a pellet in between with a line below. The other side is blank. It is 29.04 mm in diameter, 1.60 mm thick and weighs 7.2 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally, dated examples are rare and this helps confirm the usual identification of examples with initials as Post Medieval in date. A medieval cast copper-alloy pin from an annular brooch. The pin is rectangular in plan with an ovoid cross section, tapering in width to a rounded end. The attachment loop has an old break and half is missing. There is a moulded ridge immediately after the loop, decorated with six incised lateral lines. The pin measures 51.8mm in length, 4.8mm in width and weighs 6.0g. Geoff Egan illustrates the pin type (Egan and Pritchard 1991, 51) and a number of large lost single pins (ibid, 115), however due to the simple nature of this example narrowing the date is not possible.
