A complete Medieval copper alloy seal matrix of pedastal type, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1300. The matrix tapers from a circular die into a hexagonal-sectioned pedastal, terminating in a trefoilate-loop with a triple-stranded collar. The die is engraved with a design depicting flowers sprouting from a two-footed, bulbous basin, or perhaps a poorly executed example of the common motif of two opposed busts. The inscription reads (star) S' hENRI (GV)hV(N)VI.

Treasure case 2018 T502: Disclaimed, returned to finder
Description: An incomplete silver pedestal seal matrix, with missing loop. The handle is faceted, hexagonal in cross section, tapering from the face of the seal into a double banded transverse collar at the juncture between the handle and loop. The latter is incomplete, but was probably originally trefoilate.

A Medieval (AD 1200-1350) lead alloy seal matrix. It is a thin circular disc with incised image and legend. The suspension loop at twelve o'clock is missing, from an historic break.
Description: the obverse is a central motif of a grooved five petal flower; surrounded by an inscription between plain grooved borders. The inscription reads "* S ' WILL;I [C/E] APEN:" , which translates as 'Seal of William', the end of the inscription is uncertain. The reverse has an incised motif of possibly a stylised fleur de lis or less likely an anchor.
