Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative hinged brooch of Mackreth's (2011) Type CD H 3.d dating to the period c. AD 50 - 150. The cylindrical wings are partly moulded with bead and reel at each tip. They house the copper alloy axis bar for the hinged pin whcih remains, housed in the central pin slot. The bow tapers from the head to foot and exhibits a pair of moulded ridges running down the centre. See: Mackreth, D.F, 2011, Vol. I, p. 85.

Roman copper alloy finger ring of Henig's Type VIII dating to the period c. AD 200 - 300. Circular bezel with a conical pale turquoise glass insert. Narrow concave-sided shoulders on either side, expanding at the top of the hoop with two transverse grooves on either side. The hoop tapers towards the bottom and exhibits a pronounced mid-rib. Medieval gilt copper alloy stud or mount, an apparently flat circular head, now distorted, on an integral round-sectioned (bent) shank which tapers to a point. The gilt front of the head is engraved with six evenly spaced radial lines. Probably from a harness rather than a belt. Diameter 18mm. Length c.22mm. Diameter of rivet at top 4mm. 13th - 14th century.

Sheet copper alloy "paper-clip" rivet, 23 x 16mm, and a fragment of copper alloy sheet, width 18mm, both edns broken, with one end folded over though 180 degrees to obscure the heads of two small "paper-clip" rivets. Such objects were most commonly used for the repair of metal vessels. Most are likely to date to the medieval or post-medieval period, but some are earlier, such as examples from Late Saxon contexts at Flixborough (Rogers, N. in Evans and Loveluck 2009, 115-7). c.1300 - c.1700.

Part of another round impression survives next to the other break. Extant length 27.5mm. Extant width 14.5 - 16.5mm. Thickness 3 - 4mm. Perhaps 13th - 15th century.
