A perforated stone roof tile or thatch weight of Roman to Post-Medieval date, c.AD 43-1900. The stone is a pure chalk, cream in colour, with a rough surface. The fragment is irregular in shape and appears to have been broken in half: one half of a circular perforation with straight drilled sides is apparent. This narrows from one side to the other, suggestion that it has been bored through from one side. It is 94.69mm in length, 60.19mm in width and 27.02mm in thickness. It weighs 144g. The thimble has a domed crown with machine-made indentations in a waffle pattern. The walls are slightly sloped and decorated with a waffle pattern of indentations. An incomplete copper alloy Colchester Derivative type 12.c Roman Brooch dating to the period AD 43-100. The majority of the brooch is missing, only the lower bow of brooch and catch plate survive. There is a ridge running from the bottom of the triangle section of lozenge to the foot. Only the bottom triangle of divided lozenge is present and there is a groove around the triangle section. The head of the brooch is decorated in Style I with possibly animal/human features amoung swirling lines. The neck consists of two valleys in between three ridges. The centre ridge is larger than the other two. There is gold inlay on the exterior surface. The top of the bar is decorated with niello inlaid latticework. There is an attachmnet flange with 2 sewing holes on the underside. A fragment of a medieval silver finger ring. The figure ring is possibly imitating the form of a minature leather belt or strap. The ring is partially flattened with a break at the bezel attachment point. The hoop of the ring is formed from a flat strip of silver, onto which there appears to had been an additional decorative strip of silver. There is an engraved decoration near the bezel break point. A Post Medieval copper alloy pendant, possibly a watch winder dating from AD 1800 - 1900. It is in the form of a winged heart with a small circular sectioned projection from the top of the heart, and a larger rounded projection terminating in a knop at the other end. This larger extension is pierced by a circular hole forming a tube. It is also possible that this pendant is from a piece of jewellery. It is 18mm long, 10mm wide and 4.3mm thick. It weighs 1.28gm.

A complete Iron Age coin; a copper alloy core of a contemporary copy gold plated stater of British uninscribed North Eastern (Corieltavi) South Ferriby type dating from 50 - 20 BC. Lunate horse left, "anchor face" above, star/sun below reverse. The obverse is struck from an obliterated die. Compare ABC, p.92, no.1743. It is struck on an oval flan that is 18.5mm long 17.4mm wide and 2.1mm thick. It weighs 3.93gm.
