A fragment of a medieval silver finger ring. The figure ring is possibly imitating the form of a minature leather belt or strap. The ring is partially flattened with a break at the bezel attachment point. The hoop of the ring is formed from a flat strip of silver, onto which there appears to had been an additional decorative strip of silver. There is an engraved decoration near the bezel break point. The decoration is pointed with a cross-hatched decoration and a possible floral decoration. This would have represented the end fo the leather belt.
