An incomplete copper-alloy one-piece brooch of 'Nauheim derivative' La Tene III type of the Late Iron Age or Early Roman period (c. AD 10-c. AD 100). Some of the spring, the pin and catch-plate are missing. The brooch has a head with an internal chord. It has an incomplete bilateral four-coil spring which extended to form the pin, now missing. The upper part of the bow is triangular in plan, C shape in section, and tapers to the point where the catchplate would flare out but this is entirely missing except for a small flat section. Description: A complete silver early post-medieval eye clasp (c. AD1500-1600)
The convex central plate of the fastener is circular in plan with twisted silver wire filigree decoration around the edge of the outer face. At the centre of the plate is a cinquefoil arrangement of a single raised pellet surrounded by five radiating twisted silver wire circular 'petals'. A further, smaller, pellet is visible between the fourth and fifth petal. On the reverse a single soldered silver wire forms a large lower loop with two smaller upper attachment loops. An incomplete silver post-medieval (c.1600-1700) probably open thimble now in three pieces, missing a section of wall and possibly a domed top (if of closed construction). The recent breaks and the sides being slightly bent out of shape make it difficult to ascertain exactly how much of the thimble is missing.

A Medieval copper alloy seal matrix dating from AD 1300-1400. The seal matrix has a conical handle that is hexagonally faceted with a collar below an openwork sub-circular terminal with trefoil perforation. The die is oval and depicts a 'pelican in her piety', and shows a female pelican perching on the edge of her nest, pecking at her breast in order to draw the blood with which she feeds her three chicks in the nest below. The inscription which starts at the top and reads SVM PELLICANVS DEI (pelican of God).

An incomplete lead alloy Palm Guard of Post-Medieval to Modern date (AD 1600-1900). The object is a palm guard for leatherworking and is sub-ovate in plan and slightly concave with two circular depressions on the convex face and a raised linear lip along the convex proximal edge. The object is missing a portions of all edges of two edges, probably due to post depositional processes.
The metal is a creamy grey in colour with a pitted and corroded patina

A Medieval silver coin; a late Medieval penny probably of Edward IV, Richard III or Henry VII dating from AD 1461 - 1509. The coin is folded at a 45 degree angle, making the obverse invisible. It was probably minted at Durham, since there appears to be a D at the centre of the reverse cross. The coin is 14.3mm diameter, 0.6mm thick and 0.62g.
