An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman brooch, La Tene I type, dating to the 4th - 3rd century BC. The item consists of part of the arched bow with part of the catchplate. The spring, pin and end of the catchplate are all missing. The bow is D shape in section and U shape in profile, arching strongly out from the head which has broken away at an early date. The bow widens, then tapers towards the catchplate which then turns upwards. Part of this upward section has also broken away at an early date. The brooch is undecorated.
It is 26.95mm in length, 8.62mm in width and weighs 4g.

A copper alloy Hutchison's Edinburgh (Lothian) Conder halfpenny token dating to the 18th century. Obverse: St Andrew holding saltire cross with thistles either side with illegble legend, possibly [NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT] There is a date in the exergue 17[...]. Reverse: Edinburgh Coat of Arms beneath anchor with thistles either side and possibly legend [EDINBURGH HALFPENNY]. Diameter is 28.25mm, weight is 7.53g, and die axis is 12 o'clock
