Complete copper alloy dress-hook of sixteenth century date (AD 1500-AD 1600). Length 31mm including pin, main body 24mm, maximum width 14mm and maximum thickness 9mm not including pin. Weight 9.55g. The piece is hollow and has a convex front and a flat rear plate. At the top is an integral hook for attachment. In plan, it is of trapezoidal shape. The width at the top is 13mm and the sides flare gently and evenly outwards towards the bottom where the width is 14mm. At each long side is a rebate, a form of groove. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Hod Hill brooch (AD 43-75). The pin, axis bar, the lower part of the bow and the catch-plate are missing. The rolled cylinder at the top is broken and distorted and would have held the axis bar. The axis bar was probably made of iron as there is iron staining on the inside of the cylinder. A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy strap fitting (c. 1600-c. 1700). This fitting, possibly for sword belt, is oval (ovoid) in plan and has a suspension loop. The openwork plate is convex at the front and is concave at the rear. There is a suspension loop at one end and a knop at the opposite end. A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy strap fitting (c. 1600-c. 1700). This object, possibly from a sword belt, is in the form of an oval (ovoid) hooked plate. From a 'trefoil' terminal the sides curve outwards and then inwards towards an integral forward facing hook. Between the hook and the plate there is a transverse ridge. Cast copper alloy Post Medieval sword hanger, circa AD 1500 - 1700. The fitting is a sub rectangular plate which has a broken trilobed terminal at each end and bi-concave long sides. Three loops descend from one long edge of the plate, one still has part of the associated hanger looped through it. The plate contains a rivet hole in the centre and one in the middle of each terminal (one broken). Moulded floral and foliage decoration covers the face of the object. An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy double-looped buckle (AD c.1550-1650). The frame is bevelled on the front and flat at the rear. It has two oval loops which has moulded rosette decoration on the outer edge of each loop. The strap bar is narrowed and triangular with a lobed knop at either end. The pin is missing. The frame is a greenish grey. The frame measures 41.8mm long, 24mm wide, 2.6mm thick and weighs 6.3 grams. Similar type buckles can be seen in Whitehead (1996) p.66.

A fragment of a Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Langton Down Type dating to the mid 1st century AD (25-60 AD). The brooch is incomplete and is represented by the head and upper bow only. The foot, catchplate, spring and pin are all missing from old breaks. Of the head only part of the cylindrical cover which held the spring survives. This cover is open ended and formed of a flat sheet which would have been pinched closed. Iron within lead alloy weights often occurs with steel-yard weights. It has a light white patina.
