An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy double-looped buckle (AD c.1550-1650). The frame is bevelled on the front and flat at the rear. It has two oval loops which has moulded rosette decoration on the outer edge of each loop. The strap bar is narrowed and triangular with a lobed knop at either end. The pin is missing. The frame is a greenish grey. The frame measures 41.8mm long, 24mm wide, 2.6mm thick and weighs 6.3 grams. Similar type buckles can be seen in Whitehead (1996) p.66.

A fragment of a Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Langton Down Type dating to the mid 1st century AD (25-60 AD). The brooch is incomplete and is represented by the head and upper bow only. The foot, catchplate, spring and pin are all missing from old breaks. Of the head only part of the cylindrical cover which held the spring survives. This cover is open ended and formed of a flat sheet which would have been pinched closed. Miniature axe or axe-chisel of Bronze age to Roman date (2150 BC- 410 AD). The object is similar to solid flat axes with a tapering blade, resembling a miniature version of the earliest and simplest solid cast copper alloy axe-heads. A lead alloy possible steel-yard weight AD 43-1800. The object weight is conical in shape. The bottom surface is flat. The upper surface is with a broken iron shaft protuding upwards from the centre. Iron within lead alloy weights often occurs with steel-yard weights. It has a light white patina. Weights such as this one can be of Roman through to Georgian in date The weight measures 25mm long (including rivet), 17.2mm diameter, and weighs 22.2 grams.

A heavily clipped Post Medieval silver coin of Elizabeth I, probably a sixpence dating from AD 1595. Initial mark unknown, mint probably London. Cf. North 1991 Vol II, p. 137, no. 2015. The combination of the obverse bust left with rose behind head right and the date '1595' surmounting the reverse shield suggests that this is the correct identification.
