Fragment from a post medieval copper alloy strap fitting dating to the period c. AD 1600 - 1700. An openwork plate with central circular perforation flanked by trefoliate mouldings on either side. Above and below, the plate terminates in an old break. See: Read, B, 2017, p. 44, no. 371.

Copper alloy and iron strap fitting, as kindly identified by tRob Webley. Rob comments: 'I suspect this is a hooked strap-fitting. Please see Read (2008, 232) no. 829 for the type I have in mind'. A cast circular loop with a vertically grooved and integrally cast plate with a sub-triangular expansion at its inner end which retains the rusted stubs of two iron rivets of head diameter c.6mm. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1650 Length: 35.3mm, Height: 18.3mm, Thickness (clear of rivets): 2mm, Weight: 5.00gms

A medieval copper-alloy rectangular bar mount dating to c.1200 - 1400; it is missing two separate rivets. The object is rectangular in shape and C-shaped in cross-section, being concave to the reverse and convex to the front. At the centre of either end is a circular rivet hole where it would have been fixed onto the strap. The mount measures 14.1m in length, 3.7mm in width and has a thickness of 0.7mm. It weighs 0.21g and has a depth of 1.6mm. Cf. Egan and Pritchard 1991; 212, no.1137.
