A post medieval cast copper-alloy incomplete double loop trapezoidal buckle c.1620-80. Approximately half of the buckle remains with a trefoil shaped end and lobed protrusions either side of the strap bar. The face has rounded and bevelled edges whilst the reverse is plain and flat. Height 19.1 mm, width 23.8 mm, thickness 1.8 mm and weight 3.4 grams.

Schist spindle whorl, circular in plan and biconical in profile with a central perforation that is 9 mm in diameter and 9 mm deep and slightly waisted in profile. The centre of the whorl is 9 mm in thickness and it tapers to a narrow edge which is on average about 4 mm thick. The schist is grey in colour with small specks of reflective mica and darker platy elongated minerals which could be hornblende or graphite as these are typical inclusions. Fragment of a cast copper alloy buckle frame, with two ogival edges on either side of a triangular protrusion, that suggest that these form part of the exterior of one loop. The frame extends outwards and may have terminated in ovoid knops, now missing, seen on trapezoidal buckle frames. The original surface of the fragment has mainly worn off but there is a deliberate longitudinal linear groove, typical of asymmetrical buckle frames, in the upper face that appears to continue along the length of the frame. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman enamelled developed T-shaped hinged brooch. The terminals of both wings in the cross bar have mostly corroded away and a small central recess on top of the head suggests that it may have once had a head tab. Inside the tubular wings are the remains of the iron spindle and between them at the back of the head the copper alloy hinge survives that would have attached to the pin, now missing. The mount is a circular disc, the upper surface bearing a raised square topped shield, the sides tapering to a pointed base, with the following blazon: gules three lions passant guardant Or (three lions facing left, on a red background, the raised areas gilt).
