An incomplete copper-alloy circular mount or plaque of Medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1400. The mount is a circular disc, the upper surface bearing a raised square topped shield, the sides tapering to a pointed base, with the following blazon: gules three lions passant guardant Or (three lions facing left, on a red background, the raised areas gilt). The flat border surrounding the shield also retains traces of gilding and is decorated with a raised curved line round the base of the shield. An incomplete copper alloy Mount of Roman date (AD 43-410). The object is a leontomorphic mount, perhaps a furniture fitting from a casket or box, in the form of a lion's head and a square void in the reverse to facilitate an iron shank. The object is circular in form and three-tiered, being hollow to the underside and creating a triangular section. Copper alloy mount. Cast concavo-convex oval hollow mount with a pair of integrally cast sub-triangular prongs of length 19mm projecting from either end. The display face bears a star motif of eight straight rays with three or more smaller wiggling rays between them; under low magnification all the lines appear rendered in rocker work. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy hooked mount for a sword belt (c. 1500-c. 1650). The hook end appears to have partly broken off. The bode consists of a domed oval plate. 2.92mm thick, with maximum thickness 6.87mm at the rivet.
