A cast copper-alloy hammer shaped hair or votive pin, likely of late Roman date, c.4th century AD. Description: The pin is cast and probably drawn or hammered with a round section shank, which remains 40mm long from the base of the head to the worn or broken point of the shank. A conical lead alloy standing weight of probable Medieval to Post-Medieval date, circa (AD 1300 - 1700). There is a circular (diameter:5.22mm) hole in the wider flattened base, this hole appears to transverses through the object almost to the apex. The sides of the weight flare to the flat sub circular base measuring 25.25mm x 22.92mm. The weight has a well-developed cream to grey coloured patina across all surfaces. Measurements - Height: 30.35mm, the base = length: 25.25mm, width: 22.92mm, weight: 66.67g
