~~Copper alloy sprung dolphin brooch that has the remains of a rearwards facing hook at the top of the head that would have held the spring. A beaded ridge separates the wings from the head there maybe curvilinear decoration at the top of the head but this is obscured by corrosion. The lower part of the bow is truncated resulting in the loss of the catch plate. Date 43-65AD

Late Iron Age-Roman brooch, probably a Langton Down type: The copper alloy brooch is incomplete; it has cylindrical wings, although this is incomplete. The pin, spring and axis bar are missing, although there appears to be a stud which is circular sectioned and tapers to a blunt point, protruding from the interior of the wings. The function of the stud is not certain. The wings contain some iron corrosion. Roman (1st to 4th centuries) pin, stud or mount: The copper alloy stud has a circular head, which is concave on the upper face, tapering to a blunt point at the base. The exterior of the head has and obliquely angled rim and the body of the head is narrowed slightly. The base of the head on the exterior has a central, integral circular sectioned stud which tapers to a broken terminal.
The surface of the stud has a well-developed dark brown coloured patina. On the interior there is some copper corrosion as if it were filled with another substance.
