Two ceramic sherds dating to the Roman period, c. 43-410 AD. The first, a thin-walled sherd consisting the rim and shoulder of an uncertain vessel form, demonstrating a rounded rim, generally blackish fabric and fairly frequent sandy inclusions. The second, a small and heavily abraded body sherd of micaceous greyware. Combined weight: 12.71g.

As RIC III, p. 73, no. 384. The crescentic shadow across the reverse suggests this coin was originally deposited with at least one other and is probably part of a hoard.

A Roman ceramic rim sherd, probably dating to c. AD 43-410. A hard fired, reduced fabric, with dark grey core and and paler surfaces, but with a black wiped/burnished surface surviving in less abraded areas. Very fine grained with sparce sand inclusions, comprising of fine, sub-angular quartz grains, <0.3mm, with rarer, larger ferrous <0.5mm and limestone <0.75mm inclusions (both also sub-angular). From a jar or shouldered bowl with an everted, beaded rim. Weight: 13.48g.

An incomplete Roman cast copper alloy flat disc brooch dating to AD 80 - 250. It is missing its pin and only part of the catch plate is present. The decoration on the face of the brooch is of six pellets arranged around a central pellet, each of the outer ones linked by a raised arcing line, creating a six cusped cell around the centre which could have contained enamel but there is no indication of this.
