A complete copper alloy pendant hanger or suspension mount from a horse harness pendant, dating from the medival period (c.AD1200-1500). The cruciform shaped hanger is sub-triangular in form with a flat back face, from which each bar has a projecting curved prong whih would have secured the mount to the leather harness. The downward pillar of the cross terminates in double loops through which an iron pin (which is corroded into place) would have passed, thus suspending the pendant..
