An early-medieval silver penny of Offa of Mercia (757-96), Heavy Coinage (c.792-6), mint: Canterbury, moneyer: Deimund (Chick 222; North 321). Refs: Chick 2010, plate 25; North 1994, 89. The coin is slightly abraded around the edge (on obverse 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock). Measurements: 18.94mm in diameter, 0.83and 1.3g in weight

Incomplete, bent and slightly molten Early Saxon copper alloy bow brooch (small-long or cruciform). The upper edge and sides of the headplate are missing. The short triangular-sectioned bow has facets at the top and base. Incomplete rectangular footplate. Ancient breaks. On the reverse there are the corroded remains of the iron pin around a single pin lug and molten remains of the catchplate. Extant length 39.5mm. Extant width 19mm. Weight 10.45g. c.480 - c.530 AD.

Description: Incomplete late early-medieval sheet-gold finger-ring. It consists of a flat pointed-oval bezel tapering into the flat shoulders of the hoop, both now flattened and one bent at a sharp angle. Each shoulder terminates in a jagged transverse break. Punched decoration consists of a border of opposed triangles running around the edge of the bezel and converging to run in two rows along each shoulder.
