A late Saxon copper alloy buckle. The frame is triangular in plan and rectangular in section. At the attachment end two intengral arms of rectangular form extend outwards. Both have a circular opening facing one another through which a pin bar would have been inserted, securing the pin which is now missing. The triangular frame has a shallow slot through both the centre of the back and also at the tip, into which the pin would have rested. A fragment of a copper alloy Roman brooch, dating from the first or second century, about AD 43 - 200. The remaining portion consists of a short section of the bow and head. On the head of the bow is a triangular flat surface. The curve between the bow and the wings are decorated with three rectangles of red enamel. The front of the bow has a central ridge, and it tapers to a broken point. At the back of the head is a single lug to hold the spring and pin, which are missing. The fragment is 20.4mm long, 7.5mm wide and 6.7mm thick. It weighs 2.41gm and is very corroded.

An incomplete Medieval cast, one-piece, copper-alloy hooked mount c.1200-1400 AD. Description: A rod with trefoil attachment-knop at one end and the other end is flattened and bent into a recurving blunt-hook. This hook has been folded into itself, likely in antiquity. A rivet hole with the rivet in situ can be seen at the top end, along with some raised 'anchor like' decoration. The hook is a dark brown/black colour.
