An incomplete copper alloy Seal Box of Roman date (AD 100-300). The object comprises half of the base of the box as the lid is now missing. It is piriform in plan, with a worn transvers break at its narrow terminal resulting in the loss of the lower edge. The edges exhibit worn breaks around their upper portions. Two short projections extend from the apex, each with a transverse circular aperture, these would have formed part of the hinge mechanism for the lid. A complete copper alloy Seal Box Lid of Roman date (AD 100-300). Andrews type P3D3. The object is a cast oval or teardrop-shaped lid with a terminal knop at its narrower end and a projecting U-shaped lug with drilled hole at the wider end. The top has a border and a field with no retained enamel. A reserved rhomboid intrudes into the field from the wider end of the lid, and is aligned with a longitudinal rib subdividing a central heart-shaped cell into equal halves. An incomplete copper-alloy Colchester derivativem double-lugged, Harlow type brooch of Roman date (AD 43-100). The head comprises sub-rectangular wings, one of which is terminates in an old abraded break.
