An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) button brooch. It is a flat circular plate with the front face decorated with a frontal helmeted face encircled by an incised line. The details of the face such as the eys, the mouth and the edge of the helmet are realised with incised lines. All the lines have traces of gilding. The back face is plain with a slighlty thickening at one edge. Around the edge of the plate there are several breaks now worn. It is an unusual find in East Anglia while the type is normally found in Kent, see Suzuki (2009, p. 55). It is dated to AD 4…

A copper-alloy unidentified object of an uncertain period. It consists of a head narrowing in a shaft. The head is sub-cylindrical but with attempts of facetting on the sides; on the lower face it narrows continuing with a short hexagonal cross-sectioned shank (15.79 mm long), which tapers towards the break. On the upper face of the head there are traces of other metallic parts soldered and gradually broken off. It is dated to AD 1066-1800. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age to Roman Colchester brooch. The head has short, flattened wings and two breaks in the centre of the reverse where a rear-facing hook and the spring would have extended originally.The bow is narrow, humped in profile, rectangular in cross-section, undecorated and tapers to a sharp point at the foot. A copper-alloy Post Medieval coin weight, made in Antwerp and dating to c. AD 1576-1579. It is sub-square with a rectangular cross-section. The obverse depicts a right hand encirlced by stars with the letters K and I respectively on the right and left field. An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval pin of a "disc-on-pin" buckle, dating to AD 1200-1400. It consists of an oval sentral section which has an oval recess on its front face. One edge has the protruding tapering pin tip while the opposite edge has the remainder of the loop, which was wrapped around the buckle frame. The rim of the front face is decorated with a series of incised lines radiating outwards from the edges of the central recess. The front face bears traces of gilding. The back face is undecorated.
