Copper alloy mount of probable post-medieval date. It is hexagonal in plan, with the stubs of two curved attachment spikes projecting from the rear - these appear to have been cast integrally. The outer face is decorated in relief with a 6 petalled rose inside a tressured border. The surface is badly corroded and if it was originally gilded, as seems likely, there are no remaining traces.
