Lead spindle whorl of probable early medieval date. In the form of a flat disc weighing 35.4g, of 24.8mm diameter with a centrally located straight-sided 10.0mm aperture, and a thickness of 11.7mm. The sides are slightly convex, and the item is completely covered in grey-white patination. The whorl conforms to Walton-Rogers form B, and therefore probably dates to c.900 - 1100AD.

A fragment of a copper alloy Cruciform Brooch of Early Medieval date (AD 450-550). The object is composed of a central flat rhomboid headplate with an incised line at the boundary between the plate and knops. Two knops extend from the plate, on partial and a third is missing, while the lower aspect broadens and curves to form the body of the brooch. An incomplete silver disc-shaped artefact, probably from the plate of an early medieval hooked tag. The upper surface of the disc is decorated with a cross motif that divides the field into four segments. Each segment contains a contorting Trewhiddle style four-legged animal with drilled eye and backwards-turned heads. The arms of the cross are hatched to create a ladder-like effect, and there is a pierced hole in the centre of the disc, probably for a missing rivet. The pin head is largely globular in shape with a flat top and faceted ridge running around the middle of the pin head at the widest point. A ridged collar separates the pin head from the shank. The pin shank is circular in section and appears to be missing its end. The pin is brown in colour. It is 24.59mm in length. The diameter of the pin head is 6.63mm. The pin weighs 1.20g. Pins of this type have been found in strong contexts dating to the early medieval period. This type is typical of the ninth century. See Haldenby, Early Medieval Collared Pins, Datasheet 44, fig. 8. A similar example from the databsae is SF-1EAD50.
