An incomplete and worn copper alloy strap end, dating to the Early Medieval period, circa AD 750 - AD1100.
The strap end is sub oval in plan and sub rectangular in cross section. At the upper edge is damaged with no fixing holes remaining. The body of the object narrows slightly to a stylised animal head at the base. The head includes a rounded mouth and two depressions for the eyes. Behind the head are two incised lines. Half way down the body of the strap are a further two incised lines. The underside is flat and undecorated. The object has a darkish green patina.

An incomplete and very worn copper alloy strap end, dating to the Early Medieval period, circa AD 750 - AD1100.
The strap end is sub oval in plan and sub rectangular in cross section. At the upper edge of the strap possibly one plate of two is missing.The edge is damaged with no fixing holes remaining. The body of the object narrows slightly to a stylised animal head at the base. The head includes a rounded mouth and depressions on each side of the head for the eyes. No visible decoration remains. The object has a mid green patina.

An early medieval incomplete cast copper alloy strap-end. AD 800-900. The strap-end is rectangular in plan and broken at both ends. One end has the remains of a broken rivet hole.with a very slight taper towards a softly rounded terminal. The strap-end is decorated with a ring-and-dot motifs arranged in two rows running its full length. The back of the strap-end is undecorated. It is a greenish red in colour.
The strapend measures 23.5mm long, 7.9mm wide, 2.6mm thick and weighs 3.09 grams.

An incomplete late early Medieval copper alloy strap end dating between 750-1100 AD. The mount is a Thomas Class E, Type 1: Winchester style. The mount is sub-rectangular in shape with openwork decoration, and varying sizes of apertures. There are five complete apertures on the surface. The mount is very worn and broken from the top to the middle right hand corner, therefore, it is difficult to ascertain the surface detail but it may be of a foliage nature.
