A cast copper alloy annular ring of rounded rectangular section, probably a harness fitting dating from the Medieval or Post Medieval period, about AD 1100 - 1700. Some of the dark grey surface of the ring has flaked off, revealing green metal beneath. It is 26.4 mm in diameter and 3.4mm thick. It weighs 4gm. These are common detector finds, but their function and dating are not well understood (Finds Recording Guide, Geake).

A lead alloy discoidal spindle whorl of probable Roman date, about AD 43 - 410. It fits into Walton Rogers Class B1. It is a flat disc of rectangular cross section (Glenda Type A cited in Alberti 2017). The central aperture is 5.7mm diameter. The edge of the whorl has been distorted in one place. The whorl is 28.9mm diameter, 6.5mm thick and 35.86g. It has a yellow grey patina.

An iron horseshoe (in two pieces) of probable Medieval to Post Medieval date, about AD 1250 - 1600. It is of Clark type 4 (Clark, 2004, The Medieval Horse and its Equipment). It has a fairly narrow inner profile and no obvious calkins. The shoe has three nail holes on one side and four on the other with six rectangular headed nails extant or partially extant, each standing proud of the shoe. The horseshoe is sub-rectangular in section, being convex on the ground surface and flat on the foot surface. The web measures 31.6mm at its widest point and narrows down to 22mm at one heel, and …
